On June 23, in Fonte da Telha (Costa da Caparica), EDP will join efforts with Tiago Pires to beat a Guinness record: teaching the largest surfing lesson in the world.

Currently, the record for largest surfing lesson is held by Bondi Beach, Sydney, with 320 attendants.

Portugal boasts more than 200 surfing schools, so the country can easily beat the Australian record, set in 2015.

But more than beating a Guinness record, this event is intended to help Operation Red Nose, an organization that has been working with hospitalized children in Portugal since 2002.

Each registration is worth a red nose, with which all participants will venture into the water.

In the end, the organizers will make a donation to Red Nose Operation and contribute to a weekly program that brings professional clowns to the pediatric services of 15 Portuguese hospitals.

This is one of Saca's first major solo projects since his retirement from international competition.
