EDP revamps corporate TV

Friday 10, January 2014

edpON tv celebrates six years of activity. The channel brings information to 12.000 Group employees in 13 countries.

EDP has just relaunched its corporate TV, giving it a new look and programming grid. The restructuring of EDPon TV marks the 6th anniversary of the Group's internal communication channel.
With this revamping EDP consolidates the strategy of having increasingly updated and representative information for the 12.000 employees and 13 markets where the company operates. This editorial positioning - current news, globality, and customization - is also shared by the other corporate media (magazine, intranet, radio).
The new grid includes shows on the history of EDP; on the hobbies and interests of our employees, representing 29 different nationalities; multidisciplinary projects, stories and weekly interviews; as well as sections focusing on the most relevant aspects of the sector and the company's everyday life.
'EDP On will be prove to be the information channel on the energy world, within and without the EDP universe', says the Brand and Communication Director. Paulo Campos Costa also highlights the channel's international nature, pointing out that it is broadcast in three different languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish) and that the Group's different locations are increasingly represented, with their own productions, in the global broadcast programming.
It should be noted that the TV channel has received several awards in the past six years. Some of the most recent distinctions were awarded in 2013 by FEIEA, the European Federation of Business Communication, and APCE - Portuguese Association of Corporate Communication.
