EDP supports the Bons Sons festival for the 2nd consecutive year

Thursday 11, August 2016

The Cem Soldos village receives Portuguese music from 12 to 15 August

The festival, whose 1st edition was in 2006, is already a reference in the dissemination of Portuguese music, of contemporary trends in rural areas and in the spirit of the community.
The village of Cem Soldos' is closed and the entire festival takes place on its perimeter. Over the four days, visitors can enjoy eight stages, where Portuguese music is the dominant sound.
The festival aims at promoting cultural dynamics: the proceeds will fund social and cultural projects that enhance and develop the village of Cem Soldos and its community. A dynamics also visible in other projects of the EDP Group, such as the 'Tradições' Program - an initiative that aims at supporting the most genuine traditions of popular culture of the country's inner regions.
The community spirit experienced in this festival intersects with EDP's brand values. An innovative, humane and sustainable brand, which seeks to provide unforgettable moments for thousands of festival-goers united by the good music and good energy one can experience at these events.
This support from the EDP Group is part of its strategy to support national and international music and culture. EDP COOL JAZZ, NOS Alive, NOS Primavera Sound, Super Bock Super Rock, EDP Beach Party, MEO Sudoeste, and Rock in Rio are some of the major musical events where EDP is present.
