EDP launches a new edition of the "EDP University Challenge” project

Monday 19, February 2018

The winning team will receive a prize of 5,000 euros. The theme of the 12th edition is "Customer Service”

The EDP University Challenge initiative is back for its 12th edition. The project, which is targeted at university students, especially in the areas of Engineering, Management, Economics, Marketing and Communication, returns this year under a new theme: “Customer Service”.

Players must present a project based on this new theme, focused on the client.

The EDP Group currently has approximately 11 million customers in Portugal, Spain and Brazil. Therefore, a key part of its strategy is to continue to innovate in services and products directed at its customers.

In addition to the monetary prize, the members of the winning team are awarded with the opportunity to take an internship in one of the EDP Group companies.

For this, EDP has worked with the consultancy company Premivalor Consulting, the Spark Agency and with a new partner, TEKEVER.

The initiative, which is already a success in Portugal, now has an international dimension, with editions being held also in Spain, Poland and Brazil.  They all share the same objective: to bring EDP closer to the knowledge and talent existing in the academic world, contributing simultaneously to the training of new generations and putting them in contact with the dynamics of business reality.

Applications to the Portuguese edition begin today, February 19th, and end on March 30th. The grand winner will be declared at a ceremony to be held in Lisbon in October this year.
