Since 2002, EDP Group has participated in the Global Management Challenge, having already supported teams in several geographies where it has activities: Portugal, Spain, Brazil and the USA.

In Portugal, the company annually supports about 20 teams of EDP employees, students, or mixed groups, enhancing synergies with the academic world through these teams made up of students from prestigious colleges and Group staff members. In the current edition, EDP again supports a group of 20 teams: 8 teams of employees, 8 teams of students and 4 mixed group teams.

The Global Management Challenge was born in Portugal in 1980, and is nowadays a strategy and management competition with prestige and international presence. It is an initiative that, due to its dynamics and level of complexity and difficulty, promotes the development of technical and behavioral skills, which are very useful and adaptable to the day-to-day work in organizations, contributing to the networking of employees and students.
