EDP launches the 4th EDP Trainee Program

Friday 07, September 2018

Applications to the EDP Trainee Program open today. The chosen ones will have the opportunity, during 14 months, to go through the different areas of business of the Group and to make the difference in a sector in transformation.

Under the motto "the world is filled with impossible ideas", the recruitment for the 4th edition of the EDP Trainee Program begins today. Applications can be made through the website until October 5, with the option of choosing between two profiles: the tech profile, for IT and data analysis enthusiasts, and the business profile, more targeted to the areas of Management and Engineering.

Although each of these profiles presents specific application requirements, both during the recruitment and selection process, and in the Program itself, they offer similar experiences. Taking into account the overall scope of the Program, the fluency in English and the availability for national and international mobility by the candidates will be indispensable factors, with international experience being valued.

The recruitment process will have a strong digital component and a universal reach, with the great objective being to give opportunities and recruit young people from all over the world to the countries where the EDP Group is present.

Throughout the 14-month duration of this Program, it is intended to challenge candidates, and future trainees, to actively participate and contribute to innovative solutions that will respond to current challenges in the energy sector, such as digitalization and decarbonization. With all of this, the Program's aim is to accelerate the professional development of these young people through rotation between different business units (in some cases internationally), continuous training, career counseling, among others.

At the end of the Program, the EDP Group intends, as usual, to capitalize on the investment made in the group of young talents who participated, seeking to retain them in the organization - it should be stressed that in the last edition more than 90% of the participants were integrated in the Group. This edition was also recognized as one of the three best recruitment programs in Europe by the European Human Resources Excellence Awards.
