Competition launched by the United Nations to recognize the best creative applications and interactive content

The edp re:dy app won a prize at the World Summit Award - a competition launched by the United Nations to recognize the best creative applications and interactive content. The app was awarded in the “Environment & Green Energy” category.

edp re:dy is an innovative service for active monitoring and management of electricity consumption, providing customers with energy efficiency actions to help them manage consumption and control their equipment. In the world of today, with connections to goods and services such as banks, schools, work, the edp re:dy app now makes it possible for customers to be connected with their home anytime and anywhere.

The solution was developed and manufactured in Portugal and is used to monitor the home remotely from the internet or a smartphone, anytime and anywhere. edp re:dy makes it possible to monitor solar generation so that customers can see their savings and it also covers batteries and consumption of electric vehicles.

This was the aim, at the start of last year, when EDP launched the EDP Intelligent House concept, which includes three other products in addition to edp re:dy: Solar energy, which allows each customer to produce and consume their own energy through solar panels; batteries for storage of excess solar energy for later use; electric mobility - an innovative and environmentally friendly form of transport.

The EDP Intelligent House, adds a set of services for customers to perform part of this paradigm shift which is taking place in the energy market.

EDP Comercial, an EDP Group company for the liberalized market, has been focusing on developing integrated products and services, designed specifically to improve quality of service and to meet the increasingly demanding needs of the end consumer.

The energy company seeks to continue to innovate in the energy market, by supplying solutions that promote decentralization, which is one of the sector's main trends. Accordingly, one of the Company's priorities, which part of its long-term strategy, involves offering products and services that can be understood as added value products that help customers in their day-to-day lives.
