EDP is continuing its  support for Portugal's most mythical festival and is again the naming sponsor of EDP Vilar de Mouros which, because of its musical spirit and legacy, has been dubbed the Portuguese Woodstock by many  in the last 52 years. For EDP, this is a commitment that is aligned with its sponsorship strategy in the musical field. In this way, the brand is not only supporting one of Portugal’s oldest festivals, but is also taking this type of culture to other parts of the country. Over the last few years, EDP has sponsored other musical initiatives, and has already made its mark as “the official energy of music”.

The organisation of the Festival EDP Vilar de Mouros has just announced that the Human League and Los Lobos will be the first names in the lineup for the 2018 Festival, the oldest in the Iberian Peninsula. The organisation has also announced the launch of the Vilar de Mouros EDP Kit which can be purchased from today, exclusively through the website of M80, the festival's radio partner.

The first names on the programme include the British band the Human League, whose long-awaited return to Portugal will be particularly popular with those who lived through the explosion of synth-pop in the 80s.  The Californian band LOS LOBOS is also appearing in Portugal for the first time at EDP Vilar de Mouros. The group is known worldwide for its version of "La Bamba" and the resounding success of the Soundtrack of the film of the same name. As a family festival with an ambition to grow, these two names mark the start of what will be a memorable EDP Vilar de Mouros festival in 2018.
