EDP Women's Race is back and, for the first time, in a virtual format.
With an estimated limit of 5,000 registrations, EDP Women's Race intends to remind everyone about the importance of breast cancer screening and, at the same time, to honor women and promote physical exercise in the entire population.
In the impossibility of gathering the usual 22,000 women on the streets of Porto, on the 22nd and 23rd of May the meeting will be virtual and the race can take place anywhere in the world and at any time.
Registration is open to everyone
For the first time you can participate in EDP Women's Race in the company of the whole family. The idea is to run for the cause and enjoy this moment of leisure and conviviality, especially in a phase where many people are going through an especially difficult phase. Enjoy a fun weekend with the family!
The race has a predicted limit of 5,000 registrations and a cost of € 8 per person. Register on the organization's website by May 18th or until the limit number of places is reached.
The participant kit is sent to each participant's home
Each participant performs the race at their own pace, running or walking, according the number of kilometers defined by them which must be covered individually next to their residences avoiding group gatherings.
Don't forget to use your running kit! In addition to the technical t-shirt, bracelet and digital number, all participants will be able to download the participation certificate, on the organization's website, after the event date.
IPO-Porto will receive € 1 for each registration
Preventing and helping in solidarity are the central ideas of this event, so, as is already traditional, part of the registration fee will be donated to IPO-Porto, for its fight against breast cancer.
Over the 14 editions, more than 260,000 euros were raised with the participation of 225,000 women in this initiative.
