The Five Star Awards recognized the value of the Funciona and Energia Solar EDP services, following an evaluation focused on brand trust and on the innovation of the products and services that reach this level of distinction.
Awarded primarily for its relevance, technical reliability and security, Funciona provides a range of services related to domestic energy usage, which includes technical assistance for equipment and inspections for electricity and natural gas installations.
The solution aimed at the production of solar power for one's own consumption – Solar Energy EDP - was also a winner of the Five Star Award, primarily awarded for promoting democratic access to solar power and autonomy in the production and consumption of power.
The Five Star Awards initiative is open to all products and services in the domestic market. This year, 235 products and services took part in the initiative. The services and products certified by the Five Star Awards assure consumers of their quality, as they are assessed in three distinct and complementary instances: Evaluation Committee, Trial Tests and Mass Assessment Questionnaires
The different assessment stages of each product or service involve, on the one hand, target consumers of different categories of consumption and, on the other, a representative sample of the Portuguese population of two thousand consumers. The tests are conducted by entities specializing in market research, according to the SPICI methodology: Satisfaction by experimentation, Price-quality, Intent to purchase and Confidence in the brand and Innovation (SPICI).
