EDP is recognized as a reference for corporate communication in Portugal
EDP was distinguished in six categories in the awards held by APCE – the Portuguese Association of Corporate Communication. António Mexia, CEO of the EDP Group, was awarded “Communicator of the Year.”
“The Extraordinary Journey” (the motto for EDP's global communications meeting held in 2016) was considered the “Best Internal Event for up to 500 Employees.” EDP's Carousel Pitch (a space created for the Web Summit to allow the attending startups to present innovative ideas to EDP) was awarded “Best Outdoor Event” for more than 1,000 people.
The company's internal media were also awarded, with the digital version of edpON Magazine being voted the “Best Internal Publication,” the “EDP What's ON?” the “Best Newsletter,” and edpON TV the “Best Corporate Television.”
The purpose of the APCE Grand Prix is to distinguish excellence in organizational communication strategies by encouraging, recognizing, and disseminating the initiatives of professionals in this area.
