On May 19, Portuguese women ran, or walked, against breast cancer. The running competitions EDP Lisboa, a Mulher e a Vida, in Lisbon, and EDP Corrida da Mulher, in Porto, raised funds for Liga Portuguesa contra o Cancro (Portuguese League against Cancer) and Instituto Português de Oncologia (Portuguese Oncology Institute), also bringing together all women who wanted to help raise awareness for this cause.
We offered 300 race bibs for each of the races to the participants who summed up, in a motivational word, what they would say to a women struggling with cancer.
@Sofia Ribeiro, a Portuguese actress, joined EDP in this initiative to choose 20 words to print in biodegradable balloons that runners were able to hold on May 19, while they ran.
The list of winners is now available. See the document below, and find out if you are one of the winners.
