In response to the suspension of official races and the limitations of mass participation events, and similarly to the October 2020 edition, the Maratona Clube de Portugal (MCP) launched 6 new virtual races, taking place between April and May, together with your partners. EDP joined the MCP with the launch of yet another race.
EDP 10k Virtual Race
The race took place between April 12th and 23rd and was part of this new race model available to all those who have not stopped running. It was free and could be held anywhere at anytime.
How to participate?
Runners could sign up through the official Virtual Races page of the Marathon Club of Portugal by selecting the race and filling out the available form. After registration, all participants automatically received their virtual number (dorsal).
Once the proposed distance was completed, the participants uploaded their participation record to any running app for smartphones or smartwatches. Once the registration was confirmed, the participants received their official certificate, by email.
